Which rod do I need?

Every rod is $450, so price can't guide you. Water and target species can. The live site now tags each rod with what it is good for, but the lineup is still four near-identical thumbnails at a time in a slider, and nothing asks which water you fish.

The lineup

Nine rods, compared

The live site shows four at a time in a carousel, with no add-to-cart on the cards. A table lets a buyer compare all nine at once, and every row is a real product with its real price from the store.

The remaining gap

The spec grid is there. Four fields still aren't.

Since 3 Sept the live site has a ten-field spec grid on all nine rod pages (length, line weight, action, blank, grip, artwork, reel seat, guides, finish, water). That closes most of this gap. What a $450 buyer still can't find in it: sections, rod weight, what's in the box, and where it's made.

The rust-coloured rows are deliberately blank. Sections, rod weight, what's in the box and country of manufacture are not in the live spec grid, and I will not invent specs for a physical product. These four need one email to the owner. TFO publishes exactly these columns (Line Weight | Rod Length | Action | Product Weight | Pieces | Handle Type), so this is the format buyers already compare against.

Trial & warranty

The strongest thing about this brand is now up front

90-day trial, lifetime no-fault warranty, free return shipping. That is better than most of the industry offers. Since 3 Sept the live site leads with it: a hero line, a trust strip and a full "Ninety days. Then decide." band. That is the right call. What it still needs is proof from people who have used the rod.

90

days to change your mind

Fish it through a full season change. If you're not sold, send it back and they pay the shipping.

$50

to replace a broken rod, for life

No-fault means it doesn't matter how it broke. $50 against a $450 rod is a strong offer, and the live product pages now state it, which removes the surprise. Keep saying it out loud.

2

reviews across nine rods

Judge.me is installed now, but only two reviews exist: one each on the 9' 5wt and the 8'8" 7wt. For an unknown brand at $450, this is still the largest gap on the site.

Functional art

Nobody else puts an artist on the grip

Every rod carries original work by Ed Anderson wrapped into the handle. It's the most genuinely differentiated thing Folklore makes. The live site now gives it a full homepage band and lists the artist in the spec grid. What's left is the collaboration story and a close-up on every product page.
